Fasting for Permanent Weight Loss
“Fasting is the safest and most reliable method for naturally
regulating body weight. It is the one, certain way to lose unwanted and
unnecessary pounds and to keep them off, provided that the fast and
follow up period of rejuvenation, maintenance and normalization, are
carried out intelligently and to the letter.
During a prolonged fast the body will consume or expel excess
water, fatty tissue, toxic cellular waste, inorganic chemicals and
minerals, precipitated organic compounds, drug residue, colloidal bodily
material, mucous and physical atoms drained of their vitality. During
the first few days of a prolonged fast, the average faster will begin to
notice significant daily weight loss – often totaling two to five pounds
daily. This is due to the expulsion of all, loose fecal matter from the
bowel and from the stomach and small intestines being completely emptied
of food material during the initial forty-eight to seventy-two hours.
For the next four or five days immediately following this period
the body can drop anywhere from one to three pounds daily. This is
usually the result of the soft-tissue, bodily cells beginning to ‘burn’
or expel any excess water, fat or other material deemed useless for use
in the immediate economy of efficient organic and systemic function. As
this takes place each soft-tissue cell, except for brain, nerve and
heart tissue, will lose a great percentage of its bulk. The one
component of each cell that is immune from this slimming down process is
the cell nucleus. Each cell’s nucleus will retain its original size
during the entirety of the fast.
Part of the material the cells discard or burn is utilized as fuel
for the body while the fast is underway. Although your mouth, stomach
and small intestines do not require daily sustenance from an external
source, every cell of your body, particularly the brain, nervous
organization and heart muscle, must be fed constantly. In the body’s
wisdom it will take material from other less vital sections of the body
to feed the heart, brain and nervous system, to ensure continuity of
organic life. What this means is that the body will rob Peter to pay
Paul to enable the ‘seat of consciousness’ to remain intact, healthy and
thriving. This entire scenario takes place through the blood and
lymphatic streams.
As the weight loss and materials shifting process are occurring,
the body will begin to clean unwanted material out of each cell and
prepare it for rejuvenation. The process of cellular rejuvenation
involves combining oxygen arriving through the blood stream, with
electromagnetic energy that is generated within the nucleus of each
cell.
This is a normal, everyday procedure, but during a fast this
process picks up in speed and efficiency. The entire body senses that a
general housecleaning is taking place and every soft-tissue cell of the
body, besides the vital tissue mentioned earlier, will respond favorably
- each to a greater or lesser extent. As the body readies itself for
organic rejuvenation, the old ‘memory’ it has of the common weight range
of the faster will usually undergo a needed transformation. A new and
much healthier weight range ‘signature’ will be assigned to the body.
All of this takes place without any conscious effort by the faster.
This new signature carries with it a brand new set of signals for
the brain. The most important of which, after the fast and appropriate
follow up periods are complete, is a chemical mechanism of great
importance in developing a new and healthier pattern of food consumption
following the fast.
Prior to the fast it may have been the faster’s dangerous and
ill-advised habit to eat until full. As a direct consequence of the
fast, the brain will be closely monitoring the entire process of
nutrient ingestion and will signal a feeling of satiety to the stomach
when it feels enough food and beverage have been consumed at any one
time – often times before the eater feels full.
The new standard is not to eat until one is full, but instead, to
eat until one is no longer hungry – big difference. The difference now,
as compared to the period before the fast, is that the brain is
attempting to instill its new demands on the entire organism and it will
try to commandeer all willing organs, systems and functions to do as
such. The brain is determined to follow the healthier blueprint for a
more streamlined, fit and stronger body than before the fast. This is
